You may have some questions...

  • Who are these workshops for? Do I need any previous experience?

Geared towards mid-level Performance and Learning professionals, certification candidates, and heads of learning departments wishing to instill best practices among their teams. You don't need any previous experience, but reading the competencies will better prepare you.

  • What is the difference between this workshop and a webinar?

The workshops are live facilitated and designed to be interactive and engaging. Whereas webinars tend to be more passive for the learner, the added value of this workshop lies in active participation, activity based learning and a skilled facilitator that will moderate and help drive rich discussion. There is a pre and post learning component as well as additional resources for download. You will have the opportunity to learn from your colleagues, and to connect with other participants after the workshop is over. If you have to miss the workshop, a recording will be sent to you afterward.

  • What do I need to participate in the workshop?

Curiosity, enthusiasm and a reliable internet connection! Access to the live workshop is through Zoom video conference, and all details will be available when you register. A quiet space and a computer (or mobile phone app) is required. If your workplace blocks outside sites, you may wish to find a place free from such restrictions to fully enjoy the activities.

  • How long is each workshop and when do they take place?

Each live workshop is 90 minutes. The workshops (seven in total) will run live once per month from 2 pm - 3:30 pm Eastern time beginning March 19, 2020.

  • Do I have to register for all seven workshops or can I select specific ones?

You can register for all seven "From Paper to Practice" workshops (the bundle), or register for them individually. There is a significant discount when you register for the bundle. Right now the workshops will only run live once, but all recordings are available on-demand. A certificate of completion will be issued once the last workshop has been delivered.

  • What about refunds and cancellations?

If you need to withdraw from the workshops bundle, please send us an email within 10 (ten) days of your purchase. During this 10-day window you will be refunded the full workshop bundle amount less a $50.00 administration fee. If you request cancellation of your registration within three days of the start date for the first workshop bundle, we will refund half (50%) of your registration fees. There will be no refunds given later than two days before the start date of the first workshop bundle. If you wish to transfer your registration to a colleague, please send us their name and email. There will be no charge to do this. I4PL reserves the right to postpone the live facilitation date (and provide students with one month notice of the rescheduled dated) for extenuating circumstances, such as the facilitator’s illness.

  • Do these workshops count towards CTDP/CTP Certification maintenance credits?

Yes. Each individual workshop counts as 2 professional development credits (under category 1). Completion of all seven workshops counts as 14 credits.

  • Do these workshops prepare me for certification?

This is designed as a course to add to your toolbox as a practitioner and will also increase your understanding of the competencies and best practices, which would be relevant when preparing a certification skill demo.
